Sleep as much you can, Buy lots of rubbish magazines and read them at your leisure in the bath. Go out for nice lunches and take a book along if friends are all in work. Got to the cinema or rent all the dvd's you've wnted to see and have a marathon session. Do anything you can to spoil yourself and enjoy your final days without child. Come on here regulary time is easily used up doing this lol. Have you packed your hospital bag yet? If not do that.

Oh god you really are not on your own!
Its so boring isn't it.

I keep trying to find silly little jobs that need doing.
I've bought all the baby stuff off the internet so that the shopping done. I'm just ebaying some of dds old clothes which is taking up a bit of time and my next project is to renovate a old small bedside table we've got. No idea what to do with it but if it takes some time up!

thanx for the advice
i think i am just feeling sorry for myself as i usually quite an active person. worked long hours in very high pressure job and now cant even wash my own feet in bath !!
i aslo have infection in my finger which has caused it to swell to twice the size (finger looks like the male organ that got me into this state now!!) i guess i am just feeling sorry for myself!!

Spoil yourself silly cos you won't have time to do it ever again
Spend all your time on MN
If the weather's nice, treat yourself to a picnic in the garden with a good book (I soooo miss being able to read when I want to), some nice music, non-alcoholic wine......

YellowFeathers · 13/07/2006 10:45

lol at your finger

Is this your first baby?

Its such a big change. Going from a busy job to doing absolutely nothing. I know its hard but just keep thinking in 3 weeks time (fingers crossed) you won't have 5 mins to yourself!

i like to read but i cant seem to sit still for long enough!! fat finger is attracting entirely too much attention!! i may get a bread roll for it and then i can pretend i am just carrying a hot dog !!! haha the thought of a finger travelling incognito is interesting.....
see, this is what happens when i get bored!!
