Maternity clothes in Chester?????

Hi there, I'm 11 weeks pregnant and have started to feel a bit uncomfortable in my clothes, especially after eating.

Just been out looking for maternity clothes in Chester today and virtually nothing!

Tried h&m, next, M&S, river island, new look (they had one rail but awful oversized of baggy black trousers)

Where can I buy some things? I prefer to try things on first before I buy them.

matalan. i would stick to trousers and skirts because they are the only 'true' maternity wear.. or at least in the early weeks. go one or 2 sizes up in your tops. if your looking for something accommodating your growing bump then take a look in the 'normal' areas. stuff like dungarees work well for casual clothes and sometimes you can find good stuff thats suitable for maternity..

New look have a quite big section on the top floor of the one by next. The maternity section in h&m is downstairs with the kids clothes.

Primark in Chester has maternity jeans and plenty of tops that would be fine in pregnancy. I'm wearing a lot if normal h&m jersey at the moment too. The h&m at Cheshire oaks has an ok section and mothercare on sealand road has a lot of stuff too.

Not from Chester but norwich is just as bad! Our local matalan is shocking, only had black trousers! Try topshop and h&m. Have you got a jojo maman? They have mat wear. It's so annoying that hardly anywhere has anything to try on. Was the opposite in 2006 when I had my DS.

Newlook maternity wear is good and can be delivered to store to try on for nothing. Asos maternity is a godsend and they do free delivery too. Lots of bargains on ebay too.

Sorry but I don't agree with just buying bigger clothes unless you want to feel mega frumpy! I prefer clothes made to accommodate my bump! Good luck and hope you find some nice things x

Jojo maman bebe has a branch in Chester in the pedestrianised part of the town. Google it .

Jojo isnt in the pedestrianized bit, its just before on Bridge Street near the traffic lights.

Also just remembered Topshop in Broughton has maternity and the new lok there has some too. Not as good as the range in Chester though. I was quite surprised at how much new look had in town today!

I so so so wish Zara still did maternity, I was so gutted to find they had stopped!

I know, I'm also gutted about Zara not doing maternity any more, river island too!!

H&m in town no longer stocks maternity. Such a shame as they used to have a really big section downstairs. New look next door to next has reduced their section and put it on the very top floor with the shoes, just one sorry looking rail of black baggy bummed trousers!

Honestly new look had a lot yesterday, they even had coats that I've never seen in new look before! I got a nice jumper dress that wasn't even online.

H&m still had maternity last week too.

Are you sure you aren't expecting too much?!

Really? I totally didn't see anything in New Look, just the black trousers. Maybe baby brain has overlooked it. Will head back in to town tomorrow.
