Hi . I had a scan yesterday they couldn't see anything so they send me for hcg test that came back at only 50 they said I'm going to have a miscarriage because it's so low they said I could go back tomorrow to test it again to make sure it's going down or just wait for the miscarriage to start has anyone gone through the same thing thanks

Tia how many weeks did you think you were? Unless there is a possibility you are really early then 50 is a very low reading. What prompted you to get a scan?
There is a miscarriage board in the body and soul section where you'll get lots of support if you need it.

4w6days when I had the scan and blood test that was yesterday

My last period was on 21st Oct I had sex on 1st nov

You are v early then. I had a scan at 5+4 this time and was told that (from 5 weeks) was the earliest they expect to see the sac on a scan, and no HB likely until after 6 weeks. Your HCG levels should double in 48 hours at that stage so I'd get them redone tomorrow. if they are approx 100 that's a good sign the pregnancy is progressing.
What made you worried? Have you had bleeding or cramps?

I've had a few mild cramps no bleeding I've gotta go back tomorrow to get blood done again tho they said it's to make sure the number was going down and I was going to have a miscarrage

I googled it and they expect a level of 50 when you miss your period and in the thousands a week later, so that explains why they are being gloomy. Will cross everything you get a good increase tomorrow and prove them wrong though!

Thank u .i don't no to be honest I did a clear blue last Monday and it said 1 to 2 weeks x

I'm so sorry Tia. Should the worst come to the worst, there is a really useful thread on here called Practicalities of MC. It really prepared me for what was to come. I hope you have lots of love and support in real life. If you do need sympathetic ears, I found posting on here and calling the Miscarriage Assoc really helpful. Plus wine. And chocolate. X
