Hi
Just wondering if anyone else had a sore top of uterus in late pregnancy? Mine is on left just below ribs. It feels like a bruise and is sore to touch and when I move. Midwive doesn't seem bothered and baby appears to be fine. She just said it was the uterus stretching. I've had it about a week now and it's not getting any better. Just be reassuring to know others have had this and it's fine and normal :-)
Thanks

I posted about this recently as i also have it. Im only 24 weeks though and never had it with first two dcs so i have been worried. Its in exactly same place as yours and feels same as you describe. I am seeing midwife this week about it, hopfully it will be nothing but its not going away so its better to check it out than leave it to chance. Its encouraging that your mw isnt concerned though.

I have this - I'm 39+4 now but it startedcaround 33 weeks. It caused soreness and also pain under my sternum and in my right rib cage.

I went to hospital to be checked it was that painful.

They said it was a mixture of stretching and baby kicking me so hard in the ribs Shock

I've found warm baths and paracetomol help a bit. Also not stretching my arms up/out too much. Sleeping on the opposite side to the pain as well.

My baby has now fully engaged which has given some relief although its still a bit sore.

What a coincidence, I just came on to look up if anyone else had this. Feels like bruising in between my rib cage. Also have a similar feeling on one side of what used to be my belly button. I only really noticed it tonight and have been google diagnosing all sorts!

i've had this since about 24 wks and am nearly 34 now. mine's like a burning feeling, bit like sunburn under the skin. think it's everything stretching. midwife is not bothered. i find it's worse when i slouch or in certain sitting positions.

I had this with last pregnancy, started around 28 weeks, didn't go to docs till about 4 months after baby arrived when it started playing up again, turns out to be a hernia. Very very painful, dull ache and sharp pains, mine is an umbilical hernia and caused through pregnancy stretching. Will need an OP at some stage when I'm ready.

Glad it's not just me. Yes burning is a good way to describe it. As long as baby ok I don't mind. Good luck to u all x
