Because crabbies is alcoholic ginger beer.

PostmanPatAlwaysRingsTwice · 23/11/2013 13:53

Because it's alcoholic, surely!

Indith · 23/11/2013 13:54

Get yourself a fentimans instead!

Rowboat · 23/11/2013 13:55

hmmm yes its alcoholic. I've had plenty of non alcoholic ginger beer and thats ok in moderation!

JoinYourPlayfellows · 23/11/2013 13:56

You can have an alcoholic drink if you want one.

Rowboat · 23/11/2013 13:58

Also true. Probably by 8 months one isnt going to hurt!

Purplefrogshoe · 23/11/2013 14:18

crabbies do have an alcohol free version

Artyparty · 23/11/2013 14:50

Ah - yes, sorry - knew about the alcohol - happy to have a little tipple at 8 months.

The little pregnant woman logo is apparently on there because it contains sulphates- just wondered what that means & what harm they cause...?

I don't think it is. I think it's because they're supposed to tell you not to drink it when you're pregnant.

I'd do it. Many wouldn't. Make your own choice.

AtticusMcPlatypus · 23/11/2013 17:10

Its the alcohol not the sulfites. Lots of wine, red particularly, have them too. Would you drink a small glass of wine? If so, then don't worry.

lljkk · 23/11/2013 17:13

I'd drink it when 8m pg but probably keep to just drinking half one day & half the next.

PostmanPatAlwaysRingsTwice · 23/11/2013 17:49

Why do you think it's on there because of sulfites?

SomethingOnce · 23/11/2013 21:22

You get sulphites on dried apricots (the bright orange kind - the squishy brown ones don't have sulphites, hence the colour), and other dried fruit, but I've never seen that logo on the packs.

Pretty sure it's because of the booze.

TobyLerone · 23/11/2013 21:29

Ha! I've been mainlining orange dried apricots :o

womma · 23/11/2013 23:23

Have they put the pregnant woman symbol on there in case people don't realise it's boozy?

diddlediddledumpling · 23/11/2013 23:25

She's on lots of alcoholic drinks these days. Makes me ranty.

Artyparty · 26/11/2013 17:20

Thanks all - if it's just the booze I'll risk a little tipple. Logo used to be underlined with 'contains sulphates' warning ... so I thought there was something bad in that... Also I remember being warned off the orange apricots for DD when she was weaning! Confusing. Has been a long 8 months so a little Christmas tipple will be welcome. Also looking toward to my half of Guiness to support BF; My mother swore by it. It worked with #1 Wink
