So 39+5 with dc 3, I've been having on off irregular contractions for 11 days now! Not every day and some days worse than others. Tonight has been the most regular it has been and most painful. I lost my mucus plug Saturday morning. On Tuesday I was woken up at 1 am with very bad period type continual cramping lasted Agee hours but managed to go back to sleep as dh was working nights and an hour away. When I woke up in the morning Nothing!! I'm so over this on off labour as never experience for with boys. So what shall I do put on a film and keep bouncing or go to bed? I'm hoping for a home birth & live 15 minutes away from our local hospital.

Go to bed if you can - you don't know how long its going to go on for and you'll need your energy.

Good luck!

No experience but in your shoes I'd call whoever is attending the birth and let them know you might need them at short notice (they might decide to come check you?) and then go to sleep and get as much in as you can. :)

V excited for you!

Sleep if you can Smile good luck x

GingerbreadMoomin · 21/11/2013 23:59

Sleep if you can, you'll wake up when you need to. Good luck Smile

I guessing should sleep then. I just have the fear that I'll wake up not contracting once again!! I just want this baby out! My nerves are in tatters from this stalled labour. But I could stay up another few hours and it could all stall regardless. Keep sending those labour vibes.... Come on baby! Right off to bed

My "stay up through contractions" from 5.5 weeks ago is currently asleep on my chest :)

They stopped again. He wasn't born for another 2.5 days. I was knackered...

Shellywelly1973 · 22/11/2013 00:26

Hope your getting some sleep op.

Update asap! Good luck...

LackingNicknameInspiration · 22/11/2013 00:34

Hope you're sleeping now. My
DC3 was the only stop/start one, though nowhere near as drawn out as yours ( tho he was 9 days late...).

Rest where you can, I remember feeling really tired towards the end of the labour. Apparently third ones are frequently like this and different from the others. Oh, and he was also a HB, as wasDD2 - walking sideways up & downstairs seemed to get him going again each time he stopped.

Best of luck and do keep us posted!

I usually had a bath if I thought I was in labour at night. Usually knew after that whether to go to bed or hospital Smile

EXTERMINATEpeppa · 22/11/2013 07:27

good luck op

Shellywelly1973 · 22/11/2013 09:27

How are you this morning little cloud?

I know this might sound a bit mad but when I went into labour with all mine- I ignored it. I carried on as normal. My logic being if im in labour it won't go away!

Take care & update us when you can...:-)

Mogz · 22/11/2013 11:08

fryingpantoface · 22/11/2013 12:01

Dd arrived this a.m at 9.28 at home 3.5 hours of established labour and she was born back to back!! Hence the stop start labour. Think I only got about 3 hours sleep last night despite my best intentions!Wink Thanks all
