I have joined to get some others advice as its difficult to get any help from GP. I had my 1st pregnancy in May 13 which ruptured at 6wk 4days after being misdiagnosed as an early miscarriage it was ectopic in my left tube which required emergency surgery, my tube was saved. I got pregnant last month & miscarried early at 5wks. I am now positive again & 5 wks 1day if I got from when I started miscarrying last month. GP has booked the EPAC scan for 2nd dec but I have been having left constant groin/ovary region dull ache & pains for 2 days. Is this what a cyst does? I have no bleeding? I am trying not to panic as the ectopic was the worst & most painful experience ever :(

I think if you've had a previous ectopic and you have one-sided pain you need a scan ASAP to make sure the new pregnancy is in the right place. I had a scan at 5 + 4 this time and it was possible to see a sac and tiny embryo, so although you probably wouldn't get any confirmation that the pregnancy is viable this early they should be able to rule out ectopic. Can you contact EPU directly if your GP is not helpful?
Good luck. Aches and pains can all be normal but better to get them checked out.

I had pain in my first two pregnancies which I attributed to implantation, now think it was a cyst as second was an early mc at 6 wks and the sonographer couldn't find a sac but did mention a cyst in the area I had experienced the pain (like being stabbed with a knitting needle). No pains with current one (currently 7+6).

If you are in any doubt please ring the EPAC and get some advice, with your history they should be keen to see you. Hope all well OP, the rupture sounds very scary/painful Sad

I don't want to get your hopes up, but I've had awful achy period-type pains in early pregnancy all three times.

I've never had a m/c or a cyst tho, so I dunno if it compares to that.

Thanks for the advice, I am off work tomorrow so will try & phone the EPAC direct for advice. The scan I am booked in for is past when my first ectopic ruptured (if I make this scan I will be 6wks 6 days), the GP seemed obsessed it was too early by then even though my consultant who did the surgery said I have to be scanned early. My miscarriage last month they actually admitted me as they couldn't see a sac & I was queried ectopic as the consultant could see a distension in my other tube but my bloods showed it was an early miscarriage. As I don't know what a 'full/proper" pregnancy is like I don't no if the dull left ache is normal or if its how a cyst feels as I will never forget how the ruptured ectopic felt at the point I was bleeding in my pelvis, its definitely nothing like that.
