Nice winter maternity coat

Hi. I'm 22 weeks with DC3. My current winter coat is starting to strain over my ever expanding bump & I fear that the zip may burst soon! My MIL has kindly said she'll buy me a new coat for Xmas. Problem is that I can't find anything I really like. Want something practical with a hood but also smart (is this possible?!). Also don't want to pay a fortune as doubt I'll wear it after this winter. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

I'm just under 22 weeks and having the exact same problem! My dad has said he will buy me a new one as my Christmas present but I'm loathe to agree as it seems so pointless.....give it another month of bump growth and that coat won't fit either. Are we supposed to keep buying new coats? Nice winter coats are too expensive to keep that up

A maternity coat will last the whole time, you dont need to keep buying more!

If you don't want to pay a lot I'd look at Asos, new look and Jo maman.

Maternity coats sell quite well second hand on eBay - if you invest in a semi- decent one you an probably get 50% back if you keep it in good condition?
That said I cant find a smart single breasted work coat anywhere for under £100!!

I know Writer, I'd live up rock a cosy parka instead, but it's not the most professional of looks... Then again my pooh bear belly poking out of my old winter coat isn't much better!

I got a maternity coat from jojo maman bebe, it cost £60 and is toasty warm, they had a fab range in. I did look at eBay but they were selling like hot cakes.

I got mine from h and m maternity range. It's black duffle style with furry hood. Bit voluminous at moment, and not hugely smart, but very warm :)
