2nd pregnancy...got pretty painful contractions every 15 mins...started about 2 hours ago. Debating whether to wake dh/phone hospital/phone to sort childcare. When are you supposed to go in second time around? Want a bath but scared of waking ds!

Take two paracetamol. Nice warm bath. Best of luck!

Hey - just wanted to post some support. As it's your second time it might all proceed very quickly so I think you should wake your DH and let him think about child care while you have a bath. Good luck!

Brandnewmamma · 19/11/2013 04:56

I would start getting ready..quicker with second.. Ah.. Best of luck!!!

How exciting, congratulations! Yep, I'd say wake up DH, after all it's nearly morning after all.
As for bath I too would worry about waking a DC but needs must and he should be in a deep sleep around now. Not sure you have time for a bath though maybe have one at hosp? How long was your first labour?

All suddenly stopped just after 3...is this normal?! Still feel a bit achey where contractions were. False start? Do these happen?

Only all the time! It's so frustrating. But it's all doing something!

DropYourSword · 19/11/2013 07:45

Yep. Really common to stop and start, which is why it's a good idea to let it settle in for a while to see if it's the real thing before rushing off to hospital... Really dispiriting to have to go home still pregnant!

MuggledWoman · 19/11/2013 09:46

Gutting! Ah well, back to the waiting game I guess!

Mondayschild78 · 19/11/2013 10:18

Anmum I had mild contractions between 2-3.30 last night too and thought it was the very start of things! Also my second DC. Then absolutely nothing since grrr.

Anyway fingers crossed for today for us both Smile

BummyMummy77 · 19/11/2013 11:53

I hate to say it but I've been having this for 3 weeks and now two weeks over lol.

Baby will be damn nearly out before I believe I'm actually in labour now.

Mondayschild78 · 19/11/2013 14:14

Ha ha bummy I am sure you are right! I was definitely getting too excited that it may finally be happening.

I'm in unchartered territory as DS was born on his due date but this one seems to be far too comfy.

Are you being induced soon?
