I have one, but it has no pockets - or rather, where the pockets are appears to be sewn shut. It doesn't look like you can snip them open either like you can with some without damaging the coat!

Otherwise it's a really great coat. Am just annoyed about the lack of pockets as I keep reaching out to stuff my hands in there in the cold when standing around and I can't!!

I just freed my pockets with a seam ripper... No probs

It's quite normal to sew up the pockets on coats/jackets. Some are just sewn more securely than others.

I bought one in size 12 a few weeks ago. They are a little bit on a small side. I'm usually size 8-10, but even size 12 is quite tight around my chest (I'm only 36C).

The pocket were sew up but i had no prob to freed them with nail scissors.

I forgot to say i bought non maternity one. I'm 39+6 today and it's still fine -i just leave 2 bottom button undone. And as it isn't maternity coat i will be able to use it once my little girl is born:)

Oooh I got this coat, non maternity and I got it a size bigger than I am so it will fit around a growing bump.
Of course then I lost a bunch of weight with ms and now it looks ridiculously big, but at least I'm warm :-)

So glad I saw this thread.... Been wearing this coat for weeks and was pissed off with lack of pockets! Just cut them open now, thank you Grin

I bought it in my regular size, didn't bother with the maternity version. 27 weeks now and it's fitting well.

I had a close look and I wasn't convinced it was safe to pull the stitches out, but I may give it a go.

Why why why why why do they do this? I mean, WHY?!!
