Two to three weeks pregnant and worried

Hi there,
I am two to three weeks pregnant and petrified.
I had an ectopic a few months back. I'm really worried because the doctors didn't diagnose me properly and I nearly died. I'm worried it will be the same story this time. I'm booking a doc appointment tomorrow and want to know if there is an early scan I can request to make sure my baby is safe this time. Would they do this does anybody recon? I wont sleep till i know im in safe hands this time Xx

Hi, I'm sorry for your previous loss. I hope this pregnancy will be better for you.

I think an appointment with the GP is a good idea, as they may well be able to offer you an early scan in the circumstances, or check you hormone levels are increasing as they should be.

You say that you are 2 to 3 weeks pregnant, but pregnancy is measured in weeks from your last period, rather than conception, so I would guess you are probably 4-5 weeks pregnant?
An early scan would probably be at 6-7 weeks (from your period) as before then it would be too small to see anything.

Good luck, those early weeks waiting are unbearable I know.
