Friend has beta heamolytic strep - anyone any info on this ?

A friend of mine is 28 weeks pregnant and has been diagnosed with having beta heamolytic strep. She going through some intensive tests and it looks like she's not responding to the anti-biotics. I waa wondering if anyone's come across this before ?

Is beta heamolytic strep the fancy name for 'strep B'? If it is, perhaps this will help
