Baby movement changing?

I'm currently 30 weeks exactly and the last couple of days I have noticed that the baby's movements have changed. I have been counting kicks and still feel at least 10 movements a day but they have changed from hard kicks and judders to much softer, 'roll' like movements. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks!

As the baby gets bigger and runs out of space they wriggle rather than kick. If movements reduce though get it checked out - it's a myth that babies move less nearer the end.

I can't offer advice but I'm also interested in this post as my movements seem to change quite a lot... I'm 28 weeks.

I'm 32 weeks with my first and experiencing the same thing. The baby is definitely moving plenty but it is different. I was advised by my midwife at my last appointment that I should expect that change in movement though so wasn't too worried about it.

Why not speak to your midwife for some reassurance if you're worried?

i could have posted this am 31 weeks on tuesday and have been experiencing exactly this. when layin in bed i swap sides and sometimes i feel more movement on the right side now. was going to ring midwife yesterday but had more than 12 movements within a short space of time so never rang. and its so hard to count now too as its not specific kicks now

It's good to hear that others are experiencing the same thing... I can always feel something and my midwife said I should worry if I feel no movement at all...

Hi my dd is 9 months old and when I was about 32 weeks pregnant, her movements definitely were more 'muffled', still the same frequency and pattern though. I went to delivery to get them checked out for peace of mind hut the midwife said it was very common as she has much less room to do dramatic movements. If you are concerned go to delivery thats what they are there for. Don't stay at home worrying xxx
