Hi

I ordered a bunch of stuff from Crave website on 28th October. Kept one top and sent the other stuff back (value totalling about £130). The parcel has just come back to me and I've discovered they have gone into administration! The clothes don't fit me and. Need the money back! Arghhhhh!

I'm afraid that the money is almost certainly lost. You could contact the administrators and see what they say, but since the refund was a goodwill refund (I.e. not because the goods were faulty) you don't have the right to your lovey back. Did you pay by credit card? Card provider might go a charge back, but might not.

Yeah I paid by credit card, I will see what they say...

I had a similar experience when hmv went into administration last year after DH bought himself the DVDs which I had ordered for his Christmas present a few weeks before Christmas Hmm. Unfortunately my credit card company couldn't help me so I ended up using the DVDs as a gift for someone else. I did receive a form from the administrators to go won the list of creditors but I didn't end up filling it in because I thought that the amount of money I would actually get back would be too small to make it worth the effort.

I'm afraid that gifting or selling on eBay may be your only options.

It is such an annoying situation and not a risk of internet shopping that I had thought of before it happened to me, I always tools it for granted that I could order something online and then send it back if I didn't like it. I hope you can get some of your money back somehow, either as a creditor, via your credit card company or by selling the clothes on.

I'm in almost exactly the same situation. I sent clothes back but crave accepted them on 28th October. I contacted the insolvency company who to me to claim through credit card or paypal. I've lodged a claim with paypal who have told me that if the seller don't respond in 11 days then I get my money back.
But unsure how it works in your specific situation.

This happened to me too. I contacted my credit card co. who sent me a form to complete. I tried to return two items which were too small but these were returned to me in the post this weekend marked 'Mast Clothing ceased trading' so I can't claim a refund now if there isn't a trader existing anymore to accept returned goods. I'm either going to try to sell them or see if there is a local dressmaker that could somehow magically make them fit.

I feel for you as I'm only out £31. I returned the grey scoop neck jersey top size 12 and the green mixed sequin dress size 14. I'm not so bothered about the top but I love the dress. I think they should have perhaps mentioned the fact that it was a closing down sale and thinking about it I should have sussed that something was up judging by the huge discount they were offering.

Crave Maternity is a high-quality, sought-after make so hopefully you should be able to sell them on without too much problem. Good luck, hope you manage to recoup your money.

Happymumdays, I thought that as well that I should have sussed why there was such a big discount. I also got the sequinned dress!!!

I did start to wonder why things were so cheap! Doh! I spoke to my credit card company and they are sending out a form to fill in. Fingers crossed! If all else fails I will try ebaying the items. All nice things, just don't fit!

Penny31, I emailed the insolvency company and they advised me that if I had the goods in my possession (I did try to send them back but they came back to me), then "the most appropriate route for me to take" would be for me to sell them on. Just to save you time filling out the form for the credit card company.

Do you have the green mixed sequin dress size 16 by any chance?! :o) I'll buy it off you.
