Just under 2 weeks ago I had an appointment with someone who isn't my usual midwife and she did a quick feel of bump and said she was head up still (you can feel a definate hard lump at the top right of my bump) but had a visit from my normal midwife today (who is a community matron) who did a feel at top and bottom of bump and said she's pretty sure the hard lump is babys bum and she's head down. But I thought you felt alot of pressure down there once baby was head down and if she had turned in the mean time surely I would of noticed at 37 weeks? I'm now confused as to whether she's head up or down :S (sorry for long post)

You only really feel a lot of pressure low down as the baby engages - when the head moves into the pelvis. Sometimes this happens a few weeks before birth ad sometimes it only happens when you are in labour.

I had this. MW said from 30 weeks baby was head down. I had loads of pressure and felt like baby was trying to pop out at times! But I had a big round lump above my belly button that moved when poked! In the end we were so unsure they sent me for a scan to confirm baby wasn't breech at 36 weeks. Baby was head down after all.
