And I'm just after any good points or advice about the icandy apple 2 pear.

John Lewis have currently got a huge saving on an anniversary package which includes; chassis, stroller seat, carry cot, 2 x raincoat, mosquito net & car seat adapters. I looked at icandy's website and if bought separately can mount to over £900! Can't remember if that was with or without the car seat and isofix though! (I'm imagining without)

Anyway, please feel free to have a warble, I'll enjoy reading any helpful advice!

TIA x

I bought the anniversary package too. Haven't used it yet as due in Feb but its easy to assemble and fold up and down. The carrycot is a good size so should do baby up to 6 months which was a deciding factor for me. Will be interesting to hear others views Smile

I would probably only buy an icandy from John Lewis. I've heard I candy aren't very helpful or receptive if you have any quality issues with them, and just direct people back to the shop they bought from. If that's a small independent pram store it would concern me. Any worry like that would be negated buying from John Lewis. In fact, I'm off to have a look!

Greentshirt unfortunately it's only available in store but the offer is on until they run out of stock!

I'm due in march pink, I'm wondering how long I'll last before opening the box...

Do you mind me asking how much it was op? Thanks

K8eee · 13/11/2013 16:33

It was £595, the chassis alone is £470 so I thought for another £125 it seemed silly not to get it Smile

What colour did you go for K8? We've got the purple Grin

K8eee · 13/11/2013 17:30

We've ordered the chilli one Smile I let dh choose the colour. So he says, he knows the sex but I want it to be a surprise. Oh actually! The footmuffs, which seat do they go on? Is it the carry cot or stroller seat?

I think the stroller but not sure

dreamc1 · 14/11/2013 11:52

We have the same, but bought second hand of ebay, saved a fortune! Anyway, we have had ours for 19 months, my ds used from 6 months, and is still using it now.

It's built like a tank, heavy, but I love it!! One handed steering etc.

The footmuff belongs on the stroller I believe.

We will be using it with number 2 as well (due at the end of May).
I did look at converting it to a pear, but seems very expensive to do that, so we will stick to a sling for number 2 for the moment, so my ds can stay in it for as long as possible.

Are there any things that I should keep an eye on wear & tear wise? The one thing I am concerned about is how worn the front of the chassis will be from collapsing it on the ground. Or does it not scrape along the floor?

Exciting!
We bought a footmuff for the car seat too. Really handy for the winter. Got ours from Amaz

Inglori0us · 14/11/2013 14:32

Amazon. Stupid fat fingers!

K8eee · 14/11/2013 15:06

Inglori0us is that just the normal footmuff? Does it fit on the car seat as well as the stroller?

K8eee No, I bought a Maxi Cosi footmuff for my Cabriofix car seat but I'm guessing by the design it'll fit anything as it has holes for the harness straps to go through. It's smaller than the cosy toes for the buggy and has a hood got extra warmth.

Inglori0us · 14/11/2013 15:14

It's this.

Ahhh I see. I'm totally bamboozled by all the pushchair/car seat features still Grin we've bought a besafe car seat, suppose I'll have to have a look into the accessories that are available. I've just started a thread on the products/car seats topic lol.

John Lewis (& others) sell generic foot muffs for car seats. I'm guessing all will fit any car seat as the straps will all be in the same place in a newborn car seat. You fit the foot muff into the seat, then put the baby in and do up the harness, then zip up the footmuff over the top. It's really handy and much easier than putting a big coat on a tiny baby! Snug as a bug!

K8eee · 14/11/2013 15:38

Shall have a look in john Lewis! Have got to go and pay for the pushchair and seat when they come in Smile more money to be spent! Grin I don't really like the idea of mucking about with blankets etc...
