Hello,

Just looking for a bit of advise. I have been suffering with nausea and sickness since very early on. This is manageable most of the time as long as I eat small bits hourly. However twice in the last week u have had really really bad days where I have not been able to keep anything down, constant sickness all every few hours accompanied with a severe headache.
I'm just looking for some advise on how common this is this late on. I suffered from sickness quite long during first pregnancy but nothing this severe. And I know you have to be careful about headaches, but when is it I should be concerned?

Thanks I hope that makes sense.

I'd make an appointment with your MW to chat about the headaches. They're probably as a result of being a bit dehydrated due to being sick but it's best to have it checked. Keep trying to drink as much as you can, I know how bloody difficult it can be. I was hospitalised 3 times for severe dehydration in the first and second trimester as I've had hyperemesis, you want to try to avoid that as its a miserable experience!
Do you think the sickness was triggered by anything in particular? Can you remember what you ate those days or if you were a bit more tired than usual?
Hoping you feel better very soon.

Thanks for the advise! I guessed it would most likely be linked to dehydration, it's just hard to know when to just drink more or get it checked out. I'm better at the moment and have an appointment next week so unless it gets worse I'll mention it at my next appointment.
My partner just keeps saying there's no point seeing anyone if your just a bit dehydrated. Which makes me feel like I'm over reacting! Thanks again.

I had horrible headaches at 16 weeks too - according to Dr Google it's common around this time, something to do with hormone surge, but no doubt being dehydrated wont help.

Mine passed off after about a week, but I'd definitely give your MW a call if you're being sick as well.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Abs I could have written your post. I am 16 weeks today and still extremely nauseous with bad headaches. Nothing constructive to add, but just wanted to say that I hope you feel better soon x
