3rd trimester weight loss?

Throughout my pregnancy I've put on about 3 stone. All on my belly and boobs so I'm not concerned but I weighed myself today and I've lost half a stone in two weeks. Is this something to be concerned about? Surely I should still be putting on weight Confused I'm 37+3.

If you are ever concerned about anything then give your midwife a call to check.

I was weighed at the diabetic clinic today and they told me im lighter than my scales at work had me at last week.
This means since bfp i have only gained 10lbs and i know i gained more and have lost weight in the last few weeks (31weeks now)
Bonus if correct, but im a wee bit concerned about the recent weight loss too, especially as baby was estimated as 3.5lbs 2 weeks ago!

will u get weighed at next appointment daleybump?

Don't think so, I've only been weighed once at 8 weeks. I can't think how I could be possibly losing weight Confused

I would still check with your midwife BUT when I mentioned I had lost a couple pounds between weeks 33 and 35 to the midwife she said that mum's weight isn't an indication of what baby is up to - hence why they don't typically weigh you at midwife visits. HOWEVER, half a stone is fairly significant so you might as well check with the midwife/ADAU.

My weight gain has pretty much stopped at about 36 weeks. I have heard sometimes it even goes down, although half a stone does sound significant. I would check with your MW if you are worried Thanks

Also, maybe it's just your scales? Or maybe last time you weighted yourself it was different part of the day, or you were very bloated or something? Could just be that!
