Induction

Hope someone can give me a bit of advice around this (or just personal experiences).

Am 14 weeks' pregnant. Met consultant last week who suggests we induce at 39 weeks due to my age (44). Bit concerned about this as the risks and cons seem to outweigh the benefits.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I was induced due to pre-eclampsia. I got the gel at 10pm and gave birth within 12 hours so not bad really.

It probably was more intense than a normal labour due to the drip they put on me but I got an epidural to cope with the pain. TBH I wouldn't have an issue with induction again however I've never experienced how a natural birth would be so I can't compare, all I can say is that it wasn't that bad.
