Got a scan today.... shitting myself :(

I just need some more words of encouragement really.

I'm having a shit time of it this time...
Bleeding for weeks at the beginning. Then having a score on the downs test as 1:280 which still worries me.
And ontop of all that I have been getting more ra flares than ever before whinge

So on Friday I go to my 28 week midwife app and she has referred me for a growth scan today because my bump is measuring waaay to small.

Has anyone else had this? What are the sonographers going to tell me?

I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry.
I had an awful pregnancy and a late scan as my bump was measuring small for my dates.
Delivered a perfectly healthy 8 and a half pounder!
I think midwives just like to cross all the t's and dot the i's.

In all honesty the midwife didn't seem to concerned. Am I right in thinking that the size of your bump in your second pregnancy go by the weight of your first child? I was meant to be having a smaller baby then too and Ds was nearly 8lb and 2 weeks early.

Hi i had to have a growth scan at about 32 weeks iirc with my last dc. i was terrified, had to wait over a week for appt

i just had a small bump, baby was absolutely fine and measuring normal

No nothing about second pregnancies, just had the one.

I will keep you all posted. My app isn't until half 1. I'm more worried as they fitted me in so soon! Gaahh I can't wait until this one makes an appearance. I would happily sleep for the next 10 weeks or so!

I've got a growth scan tomorrow, I think they like to do it at 28w so that might be why it's today, or the had a slot they wanted to fill!! Good luck, enjoy and extra peek at baby

Try not to panic too much says she who panics at everything when my mum was having my sister they kept saying she was small and baby would be small. My sister was born bang on due date weighing 9lb!!

Just back in.

He is now in breech position, so has moved since Friday (on another note completely, when are they meant to turn?)

He is also a very healthy 3lb 2oz apparently which is right on target.

I must be lucky this time with a smallish bump

Great news. A friend of mine had growth scans fortnightly for ages due to a non existent bump. She had a healthy 6 pounder in the end.

I just felt like it was just another thing to go wrong!
