scan at 34 weeks

hi. I have a scan tomorrow because I had two reduced movement episodes. we don't know the sex of baby because it kept its legs crossed. I was wondering if they can check the sex at a 34 week scan? also would you want to know? I have got used to the idea of a suprise and can't decide if I want to know now or not.

I would think they scan. Had a 32 wk growth scan and the sonigrapher was strategic in what she showed us, ie head and legs only as we don't know the sex.

I've had scans every 2 weeks since 28 weeks for growth so 5 since then. We already knew we were having a girl, but at the second one I asked the sonographer just to double check (as had already bought a lot of pink)

At the last one I was asked if I knew the sex and when I said yes she pointed out the girly bits on the screen! I would tell them you don't know if you don't want them to spoil the surprise just in case.

It's quite different having a scan this late as the baby is so much bigger it's individual bits of baby at a time rather than the whole baby on the screen.

thanks guys. im excited to see my baby again. It's been a long time since the 20 week scan. I think ee have decided to go with the flow. happy to find out but also if it's not possible then not too bothered as it won't be long till we meet little one
