Well I found out this week that we're expecting DC2 in July so still v early days but very exciting as we'd been TTC and wondering if we'd manage to conceive as I am still bf ds1.

So...ds1 still v keen on his milky in the morning and at bedtime, I have reduced feeds over last few months and he now just has 2.5mins each side each feed. Last 2 days his poo has been very light in colour and very runny. Last night he woke up v upset and had poo'd and it had come right out of his happy everywhere. This morning four more episodes though thankfully not leaking out of his nappy! My question is whether my milk could've changed and caused this? He's quite subdued and quiet (unusual for him) but still eating well and drinking lots of water.

If anyone has any advice or thoughts re whether this is pregnancy/milk related it would be v greatly received....just doesn't feel like a bug to me that's all.

He's ill, it's nothing to do with you being pregnant. Keep feeding him as much as he wants, although you will probably find your supply diminishes.

My dd used to break off from her pre-bed feed to have a drink from a sippy cup and she gave up in the end.

Congrats on your bfp!

Milky? Lol!

Highly unlikely. He sounds as if he's got abit of an upset tummy.

Some people say the milk tastes different so the older dc stops wanting to feed . I've never come across breast milk giving a dc thst 'old' the runs.

Hope he's better asap.

Thanks ladies...will keep an eye on him. Nothing now since 10am and he's had lunch and a good nap. He seems a lot more himself after his nap. Think my exhaustion and pregnancy hormones making me fret more than usual...plus just getting my head around bf when pregnant...though I knew it was a high possibility and I'm happy to continue for the moment it still has it's own challenges!
