Arghhh! Have been wide awake since 1.30! I just cannot seem to settle! I'm wriggling around like nobody's business - poor DP!! My alarm is set for 6am and I can just see me being wide awake still at 5.59!

Yes! Am contemplating a bath. Also have an annoying cough!

Applepiesky · 09/11/2013 03:51

It's so annoying, right? The thing is, I don't even feel tired! I'm gonna be a mess come tomorrow afternoon tho!

I'm now in the bath!

Yup to feeling crap tomorrow afternoon - until 10 when I'll then be wide awake again!

"My alarm is set for 6am and I can just see me being wide awake still at 5.59!"

If you're anything like me, you'll start feeling really sleepy around 5:45am Angry

GingerbreadMoomin · 09/11/2013 05:25

Me too. Been up about an hour. DH has been called into work so his alarm will go off about 6 and then I'll be getting really sleep about 7am, just in time for DS to wake up about 8am. The joys of pregnancy Smile

Bakingtins · 09/11/2013 05:46

Me too. I'm on steroids which cause insomnia. Have just started to wean off them so it will only be the urge to wee waking me up.

Crocodilehunter · 09/11/2013 05:51

Me too, DS has been awake since 3:30 if DP complains about being tired later on I'll 'ave 'im

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 09/11/2013 05:58

I've used the time profitability to buy a new car seat base and monitor on amazon

Big reductions and they also seem to be giving the extra 20 percent family pass discount so got both for less than half price

Am now knackered so going to try and sleep - hopefully DH will wake up when DS does and do bottle etc

Applepiesky · 09/11/2013 09:52

Well, as expected I started feeling more and more sleepy as 6am approached! Think I finally dozed back off at 4.30.... Nice hour and a half I had of bliss until the alarm went off. Now I feel like a zombie!! Zzzzzzzzz......

I am 37.5 weeks now and throughout my entire pregnancy have been averaging 3/4 hours sleep per night. I have no idea how I am still functioning. Needing to pee wakes me then I just can't get back to sleep for racing mind, hunger etc. Usually get up and do my online grocery shop or other such useful things then go back to bed to lie awake for about an hour before DS wakes up.

AlwaysDancing1234 · 09/11/2013 17:21

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Seem to fall asleep (on sofa) really easily in the evening but wake around 11:30pm then every hour from 3am onwards until I have to get up. It's infuriating!! Just want to go to sleep and stay asleep!

icklekid · 10/11/2013 05:35

I had bad insomnia before pregnant so knew it could only get worse-feel your pain! I fall asleep easily but awake by 3am normally and then that's me done :-(

MiserableCowWhenUpTheDuff · 10/11/2013 05:42

I have discovered a herbal product which has worked a treat, I really was at breaking point (hence the nn) and spoke to my mw and she said it was safe to take in pregnancy... It is called valerian, I am awake now at 5:40
but I have slept soundly since 9:30pm!

I am 39 weeks today and finally feel like a different person
:) x

fhdl34 · 10/11/2013 05:52

Been up for last 2 hours, am 35+6, ill with a virus, have 22 month old non-napping dd to look after all day tomorrow while dh gets essential jobs done in house and I cannot understand why I feel so tired, so ready to drop off, yet I can't fecking sleep!!!!!
Starting to piss me off now :(

Jorior · 10/11/2013 05:54

I'm 41wks today and I've had terrible insomnia throughout my pregnancy. I've survived on 3-4hrs a night. For the last week I've been sleeping really well but my DS1 had insomnia last night and has been awake since 4am. I've finally settled him into bed and now I'm lying here listening to DP snoring like a train! So frustrating knowing I'm going to go into labour any day now so I need to sleep. Aaaagh!!!
