So the pains never progressed so it's induction today!

I'm 40+6 today and went for a consultant check up yesterday afternoon. They offered me a stretch and sweep and said cervix favourable and very soft so baby is def making moves.

Went on a trace as baby has been quiet and they were amazed by the strength of my tightenings and said they were defo contractions and checked me again and I was 3+cm, very surprised but good news.

Anyway they wouldn't let me come home and kept me in about 3 hours to monitor me. It wasn't getting any worse so I came home, cleaned up (as u do) bath, hair wash and got everything I needed to sorted out.

Still no progression tho, had pains all night and a pretty rubbish sleep, losing bits of plug and bit of blood, they said from having sweep, so def on the way just slowly.

Have to call up at 8.30 to see what time they want me in for induction now, no idea what to expect but hopefully will have our baby by tonight! Finally!

Wow tru!! I really hope it all works out for you, let us know if you are going for induction, mines is booked for next week! So envious that you will be meeting your baby very soon, good luck x

Good luck I totally sympathise I am 42 weeks today have had 4 sweeps in 2 weeks and am being induced tonight as nothing has happened :( not sure what to expect as never been induced before (this dc3) but he is very comfy at the moment and does not want to arrive hope all goes well your end xx

Thanks ladies. I called up at 8.30 and got told they were busy and to ring back at 10 so not the best start but hopefully better news when I call back.

Me and hubby currently pigging out on mcds breakfast, well deserved I reckon!! Will keep u updated!

I called back and they said call at half 11!! No room at the inn they said lol so rang back again and they are expecting me at 1!! Ooh getting nervous

On the monitor now for half hour or so then breaking my waters, all very real now! Eeek!!

Waters have gone, oh blimey, pains are coming now, forgot how much this bloody hurts!!! I've changed my mind lol

Oh how exciting!!! Hope your managing ok, I think I will be the same, praying for labour and then wanting it to stop while it's happening are you dilating ? X

Sorry for delay in replying but our beautiful baby girl arrived just 40 minutes after my last post at 3.31pm!!! We were not expecting that!! It was so blooming quick. She's absolutely perfect and very content! She weighs 7lb 10oz, I'm in awe if not slightly shell shocked at her speedy entrance! Thank u for your support and comments ladies x
