Feeling feeble!

Anyone else in the same boat like to have a little moan? Wink

I have gone from fit, healthy person who did kickboxing, exercise classes etc. regularly, fairly toned and strong, happy to run up and down stairs to...

a weak and feeble person who feels about 90... and I'm only 6 weeks pregnant... PGP has kicked in, so no more regular exercising, no kickboxing, and feel well, feeble.

Please tell me it will come back... and is there anything I can do to regain any of it in the short term?

It will come back. Maybe not to kickboxing standard but, fingers crossed, at about 12 weeks you'll suddenly feel a lot lot better & have more energy again.

Your body's working hard to make a life - be kind to yourself. Eat when you need to and get in plenty of naps when you can, before the crazy dreams, creaky hips and a river-dancing baby steals your sleep Smile

What ^^^ she said. The first trimester is basically about you building a baby. Its physically hard work for your body and all your energy is going into creating nerves and skin and brain and lungs and eyes and heart and ears and feet and and and... The best thing you can do is eat when you feel hungry, sleep when you feel tired and don't overdo stuff. Once the basic model is there your mojo should come back - around 12-14 weeks probably.

Oh I can sympathize. I was a hardcore runner/cyclist and hot power yoga teacher who spent at least 10 hours a week exercising and then the nausea (and bleeding) hit at around 6 weeks. I'm now 17 +4 and just starting to get a bit of energy back. I've been warned not to overdo things (have had a few scary bleeds and 4 previous pregnancy losses) and am shocked at how pathetic (and unfit) I feel. The only thing that I've found do-able (though tedious) is pedalling on an exercise bike while doing a few bicep curls with very girly weights. Good luck xxx

Thanks for the responses, should add that this will be DC2, so should know this, but was very very unfit last time so its come as a bit of a shock Grin
