I'm 39 weeks almost and have gained loads! I am kind of person who puts on weight easy anyway..... I'm also tall and broad so people tell me I carry well( whatever that means!lol) I've put on..... 4 stones almost (head hangs in shame) anyone else ever as bad as me?
I must say I am eating well, I have had some more junk foods than I usually would I.e. Chocolate but mostly my diet is full of all the right nutrition.... Perhaps just too much nutrition!
Pls don't be horrible!

You have my sympathy!!! I'm at 30 weeks and have gone from a comfy 9 1/2 stone (5ft 3) up to 11st 2 and I DETEST my pregnancy body.

All of this weight seems to have congregated around my arse and thighs, making jeans and trousers impossible to buy. I also only have a tiny bump so I'm properly anxious about how much more weight I will gain in the next ten weeks to accommodate baby.

It may seem like such a silly and superficial thing-after all, I am meant to gain weight and it signals that the baby is healthy which, to all intensive purposes, is the only thing that matters-but I just feel so bloody horrific about it. I want my size 10s back (not the size 14s- shudder-I'm currently squeezing myself into)

The lack of control I have over this is driving me absolutely crazy, as if you couldn't already tell!

When I gave birth, I was a size 18. I'd never been bigger than a 12 in my life, mostly a 10 or 8 before. But I lost it. Was a 10-12 before getting pregnant this time. It's not ideal, being everyone's cautionary tale! But given that tale is also "don't panic, you can lose it again if you aren't a couch potato who eats for England" then I'm good with that. I'm always the chunkiest gainer on any thread, but as I'm 5 ft 6 my normal weight is bang in the middle of where it should be.

It was hard in my first pregnancy, though. And people treat fat women very differently to slim - people spoke to me as though I was stupid quite a lot. That was a shock. Really challenged my ideas on weight, and how privileged slim people are just by dint of something that is, really, trivial and in no way a reflection of their morals or intellect. Made me ponder on how gentle and sympathetic we are to anorexics, and how disgusted and judgemental about compulsive eaters.

Anyway- sorry, that was a tangent! Grin

I’m 33 weeks pregnant and have gained nearly 4 stone. I started at 12 stone but I have been an avid gym goer and often I weight lift. Plus I’m tall. So even though 12 stone sounds really heavy i was only a dress size 10-12. Being now nearly 16 stone due to the pregnancy I just feel so incredibly heavy and tired. I’m wearing size 18 maternity clothes. This is my second pregnancy and I ballooned with my son so I knew this was in my future. I literally can’t wait to have the baby so I can get back to diet and exercise as I just can’t seem to stomach either when pregnant. I’m really hoping I don’t put too much more on during my last few weeks but I reckon I will have gained 5 stone by the end of it :( I am absolutely determined to loose it though as being this big makes me incredibly down. - Anyway shout out to all the other mummy’s and mummy’s to be getting down about it. You’re all amazing and pregnancy really is rough! Xxx
