pee or amniotic fluid?? TMI

Hi,
I know this has been done before. I know pee smells of... well pee and amniotic fluid smells sweet but I'm still unsure.

Been getting wet pants for a few weeks now but tonight I sneezed and felt a gush. .
I assumed it was pee do to sneeze but the thing is it smells sweet!?

I have sneezed lots recently and this has not happened before. I'm 33 weeks.

ring your midwife and tell her or else get yourself to hospital to get it checked out!! you do not want to end up with an infection. better safe than sorry.

I would ring labour ward and tell them you are coming in as you are not sure whether your waters are leaking. Better to get checked at this stage in your pregnancy.

Argh no. Was hoping you'd tell me it was pee.
The thing is, although it was sweet smelling it's not been leaking since. I'm wet down their again though but not enough to soak a pad or anything.

Best to get checked, could be wee, waters or lots of discharge (isn't pregnancy wonderful!), try to take a urine sample with you too as funny smelling pee can point to diabetes or other problems. Just don't fret as they'll soon have you sorted out.

Put a pad on & show it to the Kanpur ward when you go in.
My midwife said a good tip is to have a berrocca, which turns your pee orange, which will then help you tell the difference. But this won't work right away & in the mean time it's better you get checked out.

Get it Checked I had the same last week and is turned out I had really bad thrush. (No symptoms. Itchy etc, just a lot of discharge)
They were lovely and said they'd rather check and know everything is fine than leaving it and something bad happening x
