Baby movements at 23 weeks

Hi

I am looking for some reassurance. I am 23 weeks pregnant with my first baby and starting feeling a few movements from my baby a few days before my 20 week scan. I have days where the baby is really active and I feel lots of movements within 10 mins and other days, like yesterday and today, where I feel the odd kick - maybe 10-20 movements a day. Is this normal? I also have an anterior placenta so I dont know if this is also causing me not to feel too much movement. Any help/advice is gratefully received!

Thanks!

I seem to remember the same sort of thing, some days very active and others didn't feel v. much (I had anterior placenta too).

If you're worried, have a cold drink and lie down and that should get baby going Grin

I have an anterior placenta, apparently we just wont feel baby move as much. Mine is moving just about as much as yours :)
Loud noises and sweet food get my baby wiggling, my trip to the cinema was eventful.

If you are worried try having a chat with your midwife.

Yep, I've got an anterior placenta and the consultant said it will cushion a lot of the baby's movements. At 25 weeks they are still very small but definitely there, so I'm not too worried.

I could've written your post OP. I Am only 20+3 weeks and too have an anterior placenta Hmm had my 20 week scan Monday and then yesterday felt loads of gentle movement. Today....sod all Sad guess it's good that baby has a bit more protection though. Congratulations though! Smile Thanks
