Hi

Have been to see my consultant today who was happy to induce me at term, but when is term as at last ultrasound baby was measuring 31/32 weeks rather than 28, but my official due date has not been changed to reflect that!

Now I'm all sodding confused (serious baby brain the past week)....throw in 2 extra scans before Christmas and extra monitoring as baby's movement pattern changed I'm really blasted confused :-(

Any lovely ladies have any ideas??

Hi,
Sorry that you've been left confused.
Your due date won't have been changed as IT hasn't changed - it's just your baby has grown larger than would be expected for dates.
Full term is usually classed as 37 Weeks (a normal pregancy can be between 37-42 weeks).

Eek hope he's not planning on leaving me till 40 weeks!

He did put in my notes something about 1st week of Jan I guess he will want to see how the other scans and monitoring will go?

Going to have to write a list of questions to ask

"Term" has just been re-defined to mean 38-42 weeks, rather than 37-42w as before.
Inductions are nowadays left as late as possible, depending on the reason.

Iv also Been told I'll be induced/ section from term my consultant said that meant between 38 and 40 weeks, they won't let me go over due to growth scan showing babys belly measuring big and gd. obviously the actual date will be based on my other few growth scans and how my diabetes are being controlled x
