Graduation!

Have posted this in the December 2013 thread but want input from as many ladies as possible who've had ELCS - mine's booked for 21/11/13.

I did the whole graduation ceremony thing in front of my parents several years ago when I qualified. I've just gotten a 2:1 BSc, which I've done bit by bit over the last couple of years. I'm the first one in my family to go to university, and my grandparents were upset that they couldn't see me graduate the first time round, but I was only allowed 2 guests. They've offered to pay for my cap and gown and stuff if I'll go to the academic congregation to receive my degree so they can have the experience - if it wasn't for them asking I wouldn't even contemplate going. Only problem is it's 15 days after baby will be born! Will I be well enough? I'd have to go by public transport (about 15 miles on train then short walk) as I haven't gotten into a car driven by my grandad since I found out I was pregnant with DS, he's dangerous but won't admit he shouldn't be driving. I'm assuming I'll not be driving by then. I have to make a decision soon, and as it'll cost grandparents about £85 I'll have to stick to it!

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

could you explain the situation to the graduation team and ask them the last possible date to cancel? or if theres a way you can delay and go another time?

I'd have to book and pay for the cap and gown no later than the day after the birth, non-refundable, and they've already said I can't attend another congregation. Really struggling with this one, it's probably the only chance my grandparents will get to see a graduation and they desperately want to, they're so proud!

I was up and walking new born round park (slowly) 4 days after emcs so if you heal like I did you'll be fine.
