Hi, this is my first pregnancy it was planned so very excited ;-) However my symptoms seem to have gone away and I just don't feel pregnant anymore! I am 11 weeks and got really bad morning sickness at 6,7,8 and 9 weeks, sore boobs and bloating...but now they have passed im worried...(although now my boobs are itchy and nipples still sore) im not showing but I think this is normal?? I have missed three periods and two positive tests so I guess I still am, but im thinking should I do another one just to be sure?? I know im probably just worrying (my partner thinks i am) but would realy like some advice, thanks x

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Based on what you've said, I'd bet good money that you remain pregnant. But by all means do another test if you'd like, and/or talk to your midwife for some more expert advice.

Congratulations!

My understanding is that tests won't work after a certain number of weeks as the hormones lessen so you are likely to get negative result. This may also be why you feel a bit 'symptomless'. I seem to recall feeling pretty much back to normal by 11weeks or so.

You also may not show for many more weeks - I was still wearing normal jeans at 18 weeks. It all depends on how the baby is lying and what shape you are.

All these anxieties are completely and utterly normal and the more pregnant you get the more varied they will become Grin

If you can't settle your nerves speak to your midwife for some medical reassurance

My symptoms disappeared at 11w weeks & everything is fine so far.

You're finishing the first trimester (hooray!) so will start feeling much better - also you may be moved forward a few days at your scan, so maybe a little further along than you think!

Do you have your 12-week scan booked?

Babytalkobsession · 03/11/2013 22:07

Congratulations! I didn't have any symptoms (other than positive test!) and started to convince myself I'd made it all up! Even after my 12 week scan, when I had a photo to look at I still felt like this until my little bump started to grow.

I think it's a completely normal feeling... I don't think a test will hurt and it's not long until you're 12 weeks :) Exciting. Try not to think about it (impossible I know!) x

PumpkinPie2013 · 04/11/2013 07:35

My symptoms also started to ease around 11 weeks and I was worried but didn't need to be Smile

I'm now 37 weeks and have a whole host of new symptoms to be getting on with!

I also didn't show until later on so that's also normal Smile

When is your 12 week scan? X

Geneticsbunny · 04/11/2013 07:57

Cngratulation and Enjoy yourself. There is plenty of time to take it easy later on. Maybe start some gentle exercise like swimming or walking or cook/ buy some nice things to put in the freezer for when you feel more tired later on. 12 week scan will make it all seem more real.

morning sickness can come and go.

I had a MC with my 5th pg so when I got pg again and at 9 weeks the nausea stopped for 2 days I was hysterical, completely convinced myself we are loosing that baby too.

I went to gp, could hardly talk from tears. it was a horrible feeling.
I had a vaginal scan the next day which confirmed the pg, and a few days later the nausea and sickness returned with a vengeance!
I was never happier to be sick 3 times a day!Shock Grin

DS5 is now 3.5

and that said I know some people who were never physically sick and some of them never felt nauseous either.

so don't worry, chances are baby is absolutely fine!

and congratulations! Thanks

ZingWantsCake · 04/11/2013 08:44

I missed out that those lucky bitches friends who were never nauseous/sick all had healthy children!Wink

AnythingNotEverything · 04/11/2013 08:48

Stop worrying! It's likely that your placenta has taken over nourishing the baby, so s/he isn't draining you so much any more.

This is a good thing.

Congratulations.

Fantastic news steph! Im feeling exactly like you were. Im 11 weeks today and got my scan on Tuesday. I've been despairing that it will be a missed mc. i did a test last night and still positive but my symptoms come and go and morning sickness has been fairly mild. I'll relax once I've had the scan i think. ready reassuring to know Im not the only one feeling this way and symptoms coming and going seems to be quite normal . enjoy the rest of your pregnancy x

puntasticusername · 14/11/2013 20:11
