Ouch! Baby engaged?

Am 36+2.

Yesterday I had to call OH home from work as the pains were so bad, I honestly thought it was early labour. Eased after a bath and I relaxed after talking to a mw.

Today I feel like there is a watermelon between my legs, it is such an odd feeling but so painful to walk too far. Does this ease? Or is this it for the next few weeks?

How long is a piece of string right? :)

Definitely baby engaged - lasts until birth in my experience, but you get used to it!

When was the last time you had your urine checked?

Pain so bad you need to call your oh home I'd want checked out tbh. It may well be the baby being engaged but nobody here can tell you if that's what it is. The only time I had that watermelon between legs feeling, struggled to walk far and had sharp intermittent pains, it was a urine infection which was bringing on contractions. All sorted after a course of antibiotics.

DD was engaged from 31 weeks and it wasn't uncomfortable at all apart from when she occasionally pushed on a nerve.

It was checked on Tuesday and at the hospital the week before, no infection present. However, I have just been treated for thrush and the mw I spoke to on Friday said yesterday that it could be connected.

Not so uncomfortable this morning, he's still wedged in there but it's a bit easier. Not sure I'll attempt a long walk though!
