Confused! Are these contractions?

I'm feeling a lot of pain... As if baby is pushing down as hard as he can. I can barely stand while it happens...
It's not how I remember contractions starting. It's strange...but I've been induced with my 2 previous pregnancies.

Can contractions feel this way? Like I say, it's as if he's pushing as hard as he can, down. It's excruciating pain coupled with an almost stitch like feeling in my hips. It's happened twice so far, 9 mins apart. I'm standing to encourage it, even if he's just fully engaging, at least it's something!

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

I think, I'm so convinced that I'll end up with another induction that I won't believe anything until I can't stand the pain.
I've had so many stop/starts, aches & pains and little signs that if I get too excited, I just feel disappointed when it stops.

Not that I'd know, 2 inductions but I think this 'warming up' stage can go on for a while. It means your body is doing something and labour is on the way. eventually.
TBH IMO if I get this stage this time round, I'll be holding off on induction for as long as possible. Current baby is likely to come early for a change apparently, so I'll wait and see!

7 hours of contractions, 7 HOURS!!..gradually got down to 7 mins apart and 50 seconds long. Then guess what! They stopped!!

I'm so annoyed, I'm having DHs last can of lager and he can suck a chobber if he's got a problem with it!

Oh that's crap! I hope everything kicks off soon!
