Any tricks to get a breech baby to turn?

I'm 31 weeks and my baby has been breech for over a month. He/She is measuring big - nearly 2 weeks ahead of dates - and the obs was sure that baby wouldn't turn as he/she is big and there really isn't much room for turning.

I am not going to consent to having the baby turned by the obs, but I was thinking if there were any tricks/ old wives tales to get the baby to turn, I'd give them a go. Has anyone used them and they've worked?

The obs is happy to go for another section but I'd like to try for a vbac.

All fours might have helped - the pains could have been the baby turning. If that is the case, then remaining in all fours (not sat on the sofa) is the best thing you can do or else he might flip back again (with more internal bashing en route).

Can you get the hospital to check position now? (if there is less movement that could be a very good reason to go and get yourself checked anyway)

Oh and while at hospital, perhaps beg for some omeprazole - miracle cure for heartburn/reflux

Best wishes and good luck with whichever exit route is used Smile
