This is a bit embarrassing but I can't tell if I'm being paranoid and reading too much into things or if I'm in very early labour.

I've had cramping on and off since 1.30am. Painful enough to wake me but allows me to get back to sleep in between cramps. My lower backs is also sore and aching but I do suffer from pain there anyway so I can't tell if it's out of the ordinary or not. Degenerative disc disease /bulging disc pain is my normal level so that's why I can't tell if it's that pain or not.
I'm scheduled to have an elcs because of back issues so if it is labour I don't want to let it progress too far but if it's not I don't want to look like a fool/ waste anyone's time.
I'm 35 + 3

Oh wonderful, congratulations and well done you! I'm sure you're DH is simply overjoyed you're both nice and safe. Enjoy.

DS is going to be in NICU until Tuesday. Sad but thankfully it seems to be to keep an eye on him and to give him antibiotics, no major long term issues. They don't think.

music stinkerboo beat taking to the first baby from the December thread, but not by much. only 5 days after.

Congrats taking you have terrified both me and DP into packing/getting stuff to put in the hospital bags as it seems no one from the december thread can make it past 36 weeks haha. Tuesday isn't that far away and it'll be worth it when you get to cuddle your baby and know he is healthy.

itsliz · 03/11/2013 17:40

Wow, congratulations TakingTheStairs!!! Hope everything is going ok and you have a speedy recovery Smile
Glad to hear that the hospital are keeping an eye on your little one, too!

Can't believe so many December ladies are having their babies already... It's all so exciting!

StillPukin · 03/11/2013 18:00

lisbapalea · 03/11/2013 19:31

Congratulations taking! Well done for managing all of that without your dh there - great news about the safe and speedy arrival of your little boy.

Have just told DH that some "December" babies are being born already, and he went a little pale....!

BlackholesAndRevelations · 04/11/2013 13:13

Congratulations!! Flowers

It's good to know the December thread ladies are popping early- as a fellow due in December lady (Christmas day to be exact), I'd love it to come a little early!! Wink

BlackholesAndRevelations · 04/11/2013 13:15

Eeek- don't take that the wrong way OP, as I'm sure you'd have preferred your boy to stay in for a bit longer! Sorry if I caused offence. Glad he's doing well and will be out of nicu tomorrow xxx

WhisperMen · 04/11/2013 13:17

blackholes you shush your mouth. I'm due 19th Dec and baby can stay put for a while longer yet. I've already packed the babies bag in a mad dash because now two people from the December thread have had their babies!

Hehe, I'm hoping my December baby want be too far off, we're due 2nd and women in my family have a habit of popping a week or two early. I just need DH to get his arse in gear and move bedroom furniture for me so the Moses basket fits next to the bed, but he seems to think that a suitable use of his evening after a 12hr shift is to collapse on the sofa and start snoring Hmm psssh!

PistachioTruffle · 04/11/2013 21:48

Wonderful news Taking, thats amazing he's coming home so soon! Grin

abcdemma · 05/11/2013 12:41
