I woke up this morning with blurred vision. After two hours I went to see my GP. he check my urine, which was fine. He also checked my blood pressure. It was 144 over ?. Which he said was fine. my blood pressure has been 120/70 through out my pregnancy. ( I am 31 weeks). GP said this is just something that happens sometimes . My vision seems to have got worse through out the day. My ankles are also swollen, but GP says they are ok. I am worried. Does anyone have any ideas?

Ring out of hours mw or labour ward. You shouldn't ignore that x

This could be pre-eclampsia. Your GP sounds like an idiot, sorry. You need to be checked tonight.

Grubit · 01/11/2013 21:29

Pre-eclampsia was what i was worried about.

Have you rung someone yet? Hope all is ok x

Blurred Vision During Pregnancy - from the What to Expect website - explains the not serious causes.

However, you should contact the MW or labour ward as snorty suggests and see what they say. A second opinion wouldn't hurt.

Hey Grubit, did you get through to anyone on the maternity ward? Hope you're alright.

Doctorbrownbear · 02/11/2013 07:50

It could be a migraine. ..

DropYourSword · 02/11/2013 07:53

Do you have any other symptoms?

I think if your blood pressure has gone up and your ankles are swollen that's definitely something to be concerned about. GPs can be a bit hit and miss when it comes to pregnancy - I would phone the PAU.
