Maalox in pregnancy

Evening everyone,

I had a lot of winging here about acid reflux, etc. So now I have gone to see gastroenterologist , who pretty much said I am doing everything right to manage and he prescribed maalox, he said it is safe in pregnancy. Pregnant woman best and worst friend "google" gives mixed answers, some websites say it is safe, some not, nhs says please consult the doctor. Did anyone drink it in pregnancy? I tried and for the first time I could actually push my food down within relatively short period of time...and not have this never ending burning feeling in your throat ...

I lived on maalox during my last pregnancy, my heartburn was horrendous. Prescribed by my GP. I have a healthy 2 year old so I dont think its caused any problems or damage.

Thank you Vassia, that is reassuring. All the movies make you think that you will be to indulge a bit in pregnancy, but nobody tells you about horrid heartburn!!!
Any more of Maalox blooming ladies out there?
