So today I took my son to the hairdressers for a trim and there was an elderly lady there, she asked how old he was, I replied almost 4.
She said "oh lovely, when are u having your next one?"
I said "in 2 days!"
She looked at me puzzled and said "what do u mean?"
I said "I'm due on Saturday so not long left"
She exclaimed "oh my gosh love, I didn't even realise u were pregnant, I just meant as your son is almost 4 u should be thinking of having another one now!"
Bless her, with 2 days to go u most certainly can tell I'm pregnant!
It was a definite should have gone to specsavers moment!!
Me and my hairdresser just laughed after she left, looks like I'll have to find somewhere else to store my basketball instead of up my top Grin

Ha ha! I'm due the same day and look like Mr Greedy so she must have been pretty observant.

But... was this a customer or stylist? I wouldn't have let someone so blind put scissors near my pfb's head Grin Wink

Haha ur right but it was a customer, thankfully!

I had a similar experience, I was 31 weeks pregnant, wearing a very unflattering work tunic with a very obvious bump. Got asked if I have any kids, replied 'I'm due my first in November', the response was 'Ooh, you wouldn't know it, you don't even look pregnant!'. Drove home having a little cry at how I must just look hideous and fat, haha!

I promise you, the opposite situation is worse - Distant colleague: "it must be hard working on your feet in your condition" ...Me: ummm not sure what you mean, I'm not pregnant, just have a bulge not a bump ..."
12 years ago now and 3 dc later, I still remember feeling Blush

True, back when I had my son I was at the dentist and I was sorting out payment with my maternity exemption card and the receptionist said "ooh when are u due?" Holding my several months old son I said "I'm not, he's already here!" Obviously must've still looked a wee bit chunky!! Lol

Yep. Also been in the opposite situation. Was having a bridesmaid dress fitting for my bestie's wedding. The seamstress asked me whether I had had the baby or not - she was 2 months old at the time. Shock

I am 32 weeks and was at a kiddicare mother and baby event yesterday and was asked by one of the staff if I was pregnant. Bearing in mind, my dp shared that I had one of the bigger bumps in my antenatal group yesterday morning!

My answer was polite, but "yes, quite clearly" :)
