early pregnancy bleeding

I am just looking for some advice I have had two previous miscarriages and am currently 12 weeks 1 day pregnant I had an early reassurance scan at 10 weeks and all was fine baby had strong heartbeat I have my 12 week scan tomorrow but yesterday had a small amount of blood when I went to the toilet I went straight to the hospital and the lady said aslong as its not loads and I dont have any pain there is nothing to worry about I had no more bleeding yesterday but have just been to the toilet and have a bit more again no pain and it doesnt feel like any of my other miscarriages but im so scared please help x

Oh Vixie I'm so sorry, this just makes your heart drop and feel so sick.
I have had 4 mc and currently overdue with pregnancy number 5, I had 3 bleeds with this pregnancy, at 9wk,10wk and 15wks but here I am waiting for baby to arrive any day so it doesn't always mean bad news.

Fingers crossed for you vixie. If anything changes (like lots more bleeding/fresh red blood) or if you just don't feel right then get along to your EPU, don't feel you have to wait for your 12 week scan tomorrow. Follow your instincts - nobody will mind checking or reassuring you.

I know it's really hard not to worry Vixie but the likelihood is you're absolutely fine. I had a biggish bleed the day before my 12 week scan too at exactly 12 weeks- felt a gush of something wet and it was fresh red blood. Rushed off to the hospital fearing the worst (have had 4 previous miscarriages) and everything was fine and they couldn't even see a reason for the blood loss. I continued spotting (old brown stuff) for the next 5 days almost like a strange period (I have a friend who bled every month when preggers). I had spotting (brown blood) at 7 weeks and 14 weeks too and each time I've been scanned Thing (affectionate name for the baby) has been absolutely fine. The more women I speak to about bleeding and pregnancy, the more I realise just how common it is. Good luck for your scan tomorrow and a stress free pregnancy xx

vixie I hope you're doing ok. I am 12wks4 today following 3 mc's and about 7wks had a bleed with this pg too, it was after getting quite constipated and straining on the loo and I had burst some blood vessels in my cervix, I just wanted to highlight that there can be all sorts of reasons ( I KNOW this doesn't stop you worrying) but if the bleeding hasn't continued and you're not suffering any pain is all positive signs.
