Please help ladies I am new to mumsnet. I am 16dpo and getting BFP, my lines are not getting as dark as the control line. I test everyday. :-( I have had 3 successful pregnancies, but also had one chemical pregnancy and one baby who died at 9 weeks (missed m/c). I am terrified :-(

Should I carry on testing or get a grip and enjoy being pregnant?? xx

Stop testing, it isn't going to tell you much and the test cost a small fortune.
I say this as someone who desperately wants to do another digital test next week to make sure I'm more pregnant than before but I am resisting! Confused
Let's both just try and wait and see.

I think it depends on the brand you are using, some of them never get that dark... I used the cheapo internet ones and did a test every morning until they stopped getting any darker... I think around 18dpo. I'm still testing every now and again and I'm 6 weeks now.

I know its really hard to relax, I'm struggling to relax and enjoy it, it just feels really stressful waiting for the 12 week scan...

I'm sorry you've had to experience a chemical and a mmc. I hope this one stays positive!

Thanks guys. Good luck to both of you :-) xx

I didn't test positive (and even then it was super feint) on a FRER until dpo16. I thought it was negative, but did a CB at the same time which was BFP. I then vaguely saw the frer line when held upto the light at a funny angle!

Im now 5w+5 and yesterday took a frer test that was a strong line (though still didnt come up immediately and still isn't quite as dark as control line).

So don't panic - be happy you got a BFP so early! Grin
