So I'm actually a week early in testing. But have felt sooo pregnant with lots of symptoms. This would be dc4 an I have 'known' every time before af has been due.
Anyhow I've stupidly been testing like mad. One sainsburys test def shows a faint line but every other one has been negative :( the waiting is driving me crazy! So is it a v early bfp and rest if tests are just not as sensitive? Or a duff test?! I have read lots about sainsburys tests being rubbish but then again... A lines a line right?!

a line is a line. I don't think you get false positives, only false negatives. I think you are up the duff!! I would order some internet cheapies, and test again once they arrive in a few days time. Or better still wait till your period is actually late.

Tentative congratulations I think.....

Kenworthington · 30/10/2013 14:26

Thank you ooh it's far too exciting! I am impatient at the best of times and this is totally bringing out the worst in me :D

A line is a line. Maybe retest in the morning just to verify? Sounds like congratulations are in order!

Kenworthington · 30/10/2013 14:33

What about the neg ones? I'm ashamed to tell you how many... There are LOTS! Why only one + but sooooo many - ?

Were they done with later urine? A different brand / batch? Have you drunk more to get more wee to test with ( and therefore diluted it too much)?

Kenworthington · 30/10/2013 14:46

Hmm maybe I have gone a bit poas-crazy last couple if days. Rather pointlessly as its clearly far too early really x

I don't like the whole "a line is a line" thing. Whist it is technically true, if it is very faint, it could be like one I had when my period arrived 3 days later.

The only way to know is to rein in the excitement and wait for a week. Difficult as that is!! :) Good luck :)

Rabbitpooh · 30/10/2013 15:08

I have been going through this recently. Get a first response early test. It is the best xx

Kenworthington · 30/10/2013 15:12

And have you got a def bfp rabbit? :)

Rabbitpooh · 30/10/2013 15:25

I found the asda ones were earliest for me x

angryangryyoungwoman · 30/10/2013 15:37

....and I'm 37 weeks now. Very faint line like you at first!

Katylou3684 · 30/10/2013 15:50

I had a super faint line the day before my period was due, that was with a cheap wilkinsons test, I also did a clearblue one and got a negative, I'm now 29 weeks! :-) x

SinisterSal · 30/10/2013 15:52

I had a very faint line too. So faint you could only see it at certain angles

Kenworthington · 30/10/2013 17:52

Am most cheered by all your (bf) positive stories Grin

I came on here and asked exactly the same thing 22-ish weeks ago. A line was indeed a line! However, I felt a LOT better about it when I got the unequivocal 'Pregnant' on the Digi.

neversleepagain · 30/10/2013 19:56

My line(s) many tests were so faint that DP didn't believe it was positive. My twins are now 13 months old.

Congratulations :)

Kenworthington · 05/11/2013 22:10

Update! I have done tests since and they've all been negative but am now on day 27 and usually (not always) have cycle of approx 31-33 days so it's poss I have been testing too soon of course.
This afternoon though I have had light pink/brown dischargey spotting which has now stoppe so am hoping its implantation bleeding???

OP posts:
Kenworthington · 05/11/2013 22:12

But also feeling a bit crampy too which perhaps isn't a good thing :( ad is never ever ever early. Also if it is implantation spotting how long might I have to wait now before a bfp would show up does anyone know?

OP posts:
bonzo77 · 06/11/2013 14:48

I don't know about implantation bleeding. Or how long till a BFP. but I definitely had period type cramping during implantation with all 3 of my pregnancies.

I'd lay off the testing now till the day your period is actually late. If you can!

kasareem · 07/11/2013 21:01

I had implantation bleeding on Monday, tested on Sunday morning and got a very very feint line...tortured myself for the next few days with feint lines but eventually got a proper bfp today! Wish I'd waited till af was late to test and saved myself the stress though :)

kasareem · 07/11/2013 21:04

Sorry, meant to say it sounds very promising and good luck for testing! I would wait a week after possible implantation bleeding to test (if you can!)

Kenworthington · 08/11/2013 16:57

Thank you and congrats on your bfp kasareem :)
Sadly after what I thought were implantation bleeding , ad came the next morning :( so no idea what that was all about
