I am 6 months pregnant and permanently bone achingly exhausted to the point I can do little more than sit or lay down. Iron levels etc are fine is there anything I can do to start to feel better??

I remember being like that when I had DS and the only thing that worked was forcing myself to do more - the more I did, the more energy I had. I'm 5 months now and starting to notice it again so am going to start doing an exercise DVD first thing before breakfast, and a brisk walk late afternoon. It worked last time for me, but its awful to start with!

I also find I am better when busy - the more I try and rest, the more weary I get.

I have tried the working on through it and ended up with headaches and shaking. Even making a cup of tea leaves me feeling tired.

How long did you keep trying to work through it, and how much did you do? Have you spoken to your midwife? Like I said, I've been there, and its tough but you do just have to get on with it, I'm a SAHM to a 2.5 year old now so definitely have to get on with it this time - no chance of sick days or frequent lazy days like last time :)

I agree with rockchick. I'm totally exhausted , 29 weeks pregnant with dc3.I cant sleep at night properly and always wake up, then my 2 year old and 5 year old are up at the crack of dawn and I also work 3 days a week.I've no idea how i'm getting through the days at the moment but I am literally just getting on with it. I find being active in the mornings helps me to wake up and feel like I have a bit more energy but it is tough being pregnant :) DH also works away for 2/3 weeks at a time so I think when he comes home this time I may just crumble into a mess on the floor haha.
My advice, keep active, go walking or swimming and then have a little nap late morning and then do something active again.

So glad I went back to the doctors and got more bloods done as I actually have very low B12 levels and my iron levels had dropped too. Hopefully now I will be on the road to recovery.
