So so bored of it already, and I'm only 18 weeks.

Had it in the last pregnancy, but it's started earlier this time. Feels like someone is sticking a burning hot metal rod though my pelvis from front to back. Just cannot get comfy, and this time I have a toddler to look after.

Come join me in moaning about it. I can't be the only one.

Sorry to hear you a suffering so bad. Is there anything at all that can be done to alleviate the pain?

I'm 28 weeks and for the past couple of weeks have been getting stabbing pains in my crotch. Its especially worse when I lie down and it really hurts to move around in bed at night. Could this be SPD or the beginnings of it? I have a midwife appointment this week so will ask about it then. I didn't get this with DD so am pretty clueless.

You have my sympathies running around after a toddler. Why do they always have the most energy on days when you're feeling rubbish?!

PP that's how mine started.

OP i infest tabs your pain! Been off work for month with it now. I'm 26+4 and pretty much house bound :( physio hasn't helped, codeine hasn't helped and neither has a maternity belt :( I'm lucky if I get out of the house once a week. I'm so grateful to be pregnant but didn't think I would be in this much pain, I'm used to having back pain coz I have scoliosis but this is so much worse!

lola0106 · 29/10/2013 14:13

Stupid autocorrect lol! I understand your pain*

MurderOfBanshees · 29/10/2013 20:05

Sounds like it Ginot

Saw a physio last time, they said there wasn't much that could be done, just gave me one of those belts and told me if it got worse that I could get crutches. Otherwise to just rest. Easier last time as no toddler!

lola I also have long term back pain, so you think I'd be used to it. Mostly frustrated to be even more limited than usual though.

With you on this. Only 14 weeks and v uncomfortable :(

It kicked in at about 20 weeks last time but no idea how I
Going to cope with a 14 month old struggling to lift her in &out of cot bath etc or push the pushchair. I have a physio referral in 3 weeks but didn't help much last time.

GinotPrigio · 29/10/2013 20:40

Gosh, i can't believe how bad some of you have it and that there is so little that can be done.
