sweep today 39+3 :)

so all booked for a sweep today i am sooo nervoues that my cervix wont be ready wish me luck everyone want this baby boy now

Ooh good luck! Can I ask, how did you get a sweep before 40 weeks? I will have an appointment at 39+3 - last time I saw midwife she said they wouldn't sweep before 40, but if like to request one?

thanks everyone midwife actually cancelled today due to being at a homebirth all night so its now booked for tomorrow instead :)

hello ibeliveinpink in my area west london they offer them from 39 weeks so i agreed to take it in the hope it works lol all re booked for tomorrow now due to midwifes cancelled tomorrow at 12 here i come haha

you can request one some midwives are willing to do it earlier then others :)

I was sooo looking forward to my sweep yesterday when I was 40+2, as they also wouldn't offer it to me before 40wks :(
I had a mw that couldn't reach my cervix and refused to try more as may be uncomfortable/painful for me..............so now totally bummed.

I have never found an internal to be uncomfortable/painful so would have been willing for her to try but nope, no luck.

aww thats a shame purple i know the chances are 50/50 so im not pinning all hopes on it will wait and see what happens tomorrow i can only hope for the best

hiya mogz sweeps been done an hour ago had blood come away right away sitting here bouncing on my ball now hoping it works midwife said cervix was low hopefully il be sharing exciting news / updates soon :D x
