So, I just found out I am about 7 weeks pregnant after 2 tests.

Of course, I've told my other half but how does everyone cope with not telling anyone else and who do you tell when you do decide to? Have you just let the info come out in convo or have you made a big announcement?

Also, what now! I've just found out so apart from going to the docs, what sorts of things should i be doing?

Ta!

xx

It's completely up to you who you tell. Most people wait until the 12 week mark or after the 12 week scan to announce it

When I found out we told my parents and dps parents and a couple of close friend but told them to keep stum and then we just announced it on Facebook with a scan picture at 12 weeks :)

Get some folic acid or pregnacare (one a day until at least 12 weeks ) the dr wil refer you to a midwife who will do a booking in appointment and arrange your 12 week scan. (It different for everyone but that's what happened with me)

Congratulations :D

Congratulations clairesmiles

The weeks between finding out and waiting for your scan before telling anyone are, quite frankly, hellish! We just told our parents and two of my closest friends before my telling everyone else at about 13 weeks. I was ready to tell the world but my husband kept me reigned in,lol! I also told my boss as I have diabetes and within the first 3 weeks of finding out I was pregnant I had 3 hospital appointments, but that was just because of my circumstances and not something you need to do until your comfortable telling work. We told our closest friends the news by text, let our mums deal with the extended family and put it on Facebook for everyone else.

When you do finally tell everyone it's awesome and well worth the wait!

We didn't tell anyone until 12 weeks in fact we quite enjoyed keeping it secret the pregnancy was our lovely secret.
Told family and our best friends then at 14 weeks we told everyone and I told work

Congratulations!

We told our parents & I told a few friends who I would have spoken to if things had gone wrong.

After the 12-week scan, we've just told people as and when we've seen them/ spoken to them, rather than making an announcement. It's been really nice as its spread out the happy task of telling people Smile

Try to relax, rest if you need to and don't panic if you eat constantly in the first 12 weeks. It will calm down!!

Found out at 4wk. Told my mum n dad at 10 (as we were going on holiday with them) and then a week later DP told his mum. After the scan i told my boss and my friends, everyone else can just figure it out. Im not 1 for the false congratulations of people on facebook ive not seen for 10years. Also hate a load of fuss and attention. My boss has taken it upon herself to tell everybody so the majority of people know at work but i dont tell people unless i have to.

Take folic acid or pregnancy multi vitamin with folic acid and make your first midwife appointment, the 12week scan will then be arranged.

Congratulations.

I told my DP and my best friend straight away. Told my line manager slightly after that as knew I'd need time off work. Hope to keep it from everyone else, family especially, until about 20 weeks.
