I just wondered if anyone had this experience before- I'm 7+3 (don't have a last period date as had just stopped cerezette, but know the date I ovulated). Had an episode of severe cramps 2 weeks ago (5+2), but no bleeding. Today I had my first scan as I'm going private. On the image there was a sac measuring 2.5cm, but no foetus. The obstetrician questioned my dates, but I'm fairly positive they are accurate, or out by only a day or two. Basically ahe said the image was more in keeping with 5 weeks. I've to go back next Monday for a repeat scan. Basically I've resigned myself to this being a missed miscarriage but wanted to know if anyone else had experienced similiar x

Hello Taz. I hope you're ok. I didn't have exactly the same as you, but I did have a mmc in Sept at 10 weeks, baby stopped growing at 7. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Here to hand hold at any time. I hope you have Rl support. Xx

PterodactylTeaParty · 28/10/2013 16:36

Yes, almost exactly - scan at 7+3, measuring more like 5 weeks, and I was sure of when I ovulated. Mine turned out to be a miscarriage (bleeding started at 8 weeks). Going through that scan and dealing with the limbo were just awful, so I really, really feel for you. Please take care of yourself; this is really tough to deal with.

Thank you for your support- its nice to know I'm not the only one facing this. We were both a bit ambivalent when we first found out we were expecting, but as the weeks passed the excitement grew and now I feel guilty for ever having any negative feelings. I guess I'm trying to be positive and take heart in the fact that we conceived very easily x

Hi Taz - I'm sorry to say this has happened to me twice, almost exactly as you described. Emotionally very hard, but not too bad physically and both completed at home

The good news is that I got pregnant again soon after both with DSs (with DS1 at next cycle, without AF ever making an appearance)

I do feel for you, but am optimistic for you soon in the future. Good luck
X

I had some bleeding at 6+3, saw an empty sac on scan and they dated it around 5 weeks. Two weeks later saw hb and he's now sitting here watching bloody bubble guppies.

LizzieVereker · 28/10/2013 17:30

I am sorry, Taz, I had exactly the same and then miscarried (bleeding started at 9 weeks).

I conceived again and had a healthy pregnancy about 6 months after, and I wish you the very best Flowers

MissMedusa · 28/10/2013 17:32

When did you get your BFP? Did that line up with when you thought you ovulated?

Taz29duffy · 28/10/2013 18:10

My first test was negative (14 days post ) but at 19 days clearblue was positive and showed I was 2-3 weeks post conception .

sorry your going through this i had this in 2012 i should have been 8 weeks and sac was empty and looked more like a 5 week gestation but if it helps i became pregnant about 6 months after and now having a healthy baby due anyway i had no bleeding with my mmc untill rather late sending hugs and Flowers

Foxeym · 29/10/2013 08:29

Hi just to say I had severe cramps at 7 weeks and went to EPU as I was sure I was starting to MC. They saw a pregnancy sac but no foetal pole etc and put me at about 5 weeks. I had to go back 2 weeks later and there was a heartbeat. At my 12 week scan I was put back to my original date and was told that foetuses grow at their own rate early on. I had my beautiful DS 2 weeks ago and he will never know the stress he caused! :)

Thanks for others sharing their own stories. I am hating being in limbo and can't stop still having a wee bit of hope. I was on route into work, but couldn't face it. I feel strangely exhausted.

How are you today Taz? Brew

Taz29duffy · 30/10/2013 21:17

I'm ok-up and down, but for some reason I don't think it has really hit home yet and I still am a wee bit hopeful that maybe it will be ok. Will know one way or another on Monday. On a positive note I got pregnant very easily, so that is a good sign. Thanks for your thoughts x
