I thought DC2 would arrive early too...

I'm 38 + 5 and nothing. Contractions had started by now with DS and he came at 39 weeks. I was convinced DC2 would be here around the same time or earlier. I've also been having BH for weeks and I'm fed up! I know the timing of DC1 doesn't have any bearing on subsequent births but I was kind of expecting today to be the start of it all, and I'm a bit disappointed nothing is happening yet!

DD was born on her due date.

DS1 was 7 days late.

DS2 was 3 days early.

Kept me on my toes. :)

Aww I hate those last few weeks of waiting, I'm sooo impatient, anyluck your dc will not take too long to make an appearance

My mum had four...
First on time, second two weeks late, third four weeks late, they didn't give a due date for the fourth!

DS was born at 38+3.

DD waited until 40+4. Those last two weeks were rather long.

I'm 38wks today and have had enough. Dd was born at 42 weeks after induction and DS came a few hours after his due date. I think this one will go over a week. I just wish I could go to sleep and wake up with a baby.

Dc1 was a day early, then Dc2 nearly 2 weeks late.

Boy, did those 2 weeks drag!

I could tell you they come when they're ready, but you may want to punch me!!

It's funny, with DS I was expecting to go overdue and was not at all prepared when he came along (didn't even have my hospital bag packed). This time I've been so prepared for another early arrival I'm actually quite surprised it hasn't happened yet!

DC1 arrived @ 38+2
DC2 arrived @ 9 days overdue
DC3 arrived @ 11 days overdue

1st 2 were both spontaneous labours but 3rd was only after induction! Now expecting DC4 and will have to be prepared for anything lol! Hope something happens soon for you, I remember those final weeks all too well

I went into labour with DD1 at 37wks so was quite expectant of an early labour with now 10wk old DD2.
I got very excited when I started contracting during 37th week but she wasn't born until 39+5 with only two hours of active labour.

I could have written your post op! Currently 39+3 with DC2. DS arrived at 38 weeks so was expecting the same if not earlier. Finding the waiting really tough now. Will have a section at 41 weeks if not here by then.

Same here! Ds 38&4 and I'm now 40&3! Feel very guilty I'm kind of wishing the time away but would just like the worry to end of when and where it's going to happen and ensuring all is well for my toddler!

I could've written this post a week ago! DS was born at 39+4 and DD cam on Tuesday at 40+6, and only because they artificially broke my waters. I think she'd have been in til Christmas if we'd left her to it!

You have my sympathies though - stick with it!

Ds1 was 2 days over
Ds2 was 10 days over

It dragged something fierce with ds2 especially after a false labour at 37wks! I'll be assuming I'll go overdue this time and then it's a bonus if not.
