Call me paranoid but I put on 3 stone with dd and really want to avoid it again! I'm only 8st 4lbs pre-pregnancy and already I've got a pronounced bump and have put on around 8lbs despite a sensible diet. I'm heading for the same huge weight gain aren't I?
14+3

I didn't care with DC1 and put on 3 stone and was more careful with what I ate with DC 2 and 3 and still put on 3 stone so I think this is what my body naturally does and just had to accept it and think well I'll get it off afterwards :)

I think some women just have higher weight gain than others no matter how well they eat and exercise during pregnancy, we're all so wonderfully different and our bodies respond in a million and one different ways.
You're starting off at what sounds like a super healthy weight so I'd think as long as you're eating a balanced diet you're not going to be flagging up any major health concerns if you do put on a few stone again.
My mum was a 5ft7 size 6 veggie when she fell pregnant with me, the poor dear put on about 3.5 stone and developed a craving for bacon! She did get rid of it though, the weight, not the bacon, I'm credited with converting her to meat! Conversely I'm the same height, but waaaaaaaaay podgier and have only put on about .5 of a stone and I'm at 34+4 and can't get enough of vegetables, salads, apple sauce and cheese.
Just do what you need to do to grow that baby and it'll all be worth it.

What's you BMI at your pre pregnancy weight? If you're underweight then you should gain more, if you're normal weight then you should gain around 2.5 stone so only half a stone less than you did last time!

I am now pregnant with my third dc, with the previous two I put on 5 stone with each. (Am 10st and 5ft 4 normally) I do tend to have big babies and I don't overeat, I just think that some women just put on more than others. Did love it when my sisters mil said that if you put on more than two stone you will never lose it, I piped up that I had put on 5 twice and lost 5 twice :). I have come to the conclusion that I am going to put on the same again so instead of fighting it I may as well enjoy it, I have lost the weight twice, I can do it a third time!
