Maternity wedding outfit (winter)- what kind of jacket/coat/outerwear??

Hi, I've already bought a maternity occassion dress for a winter wedding (in November). The dress itself is fine, black, which I know some might not think is ideal for a wedding but to be honest I couldn't find anything else that I liked/suited me. However, I'm having a problem with what to wear on the outside that will be dressy (and warm) enough for a winter wedding. I don't have anything smart that will fit me.

Any suggestions please? (and nothing too expensive!)

Could you get a cape style or dressy wool poncho.
That way its still useful post maternity and will allow for more growth over winter (not sure how far along u are).
They seem to be quite "in" at the moment so most high street has them.

I wore this one to a wedding in Poland at the weekend, in reality you wont really be outside for that long, you just want something to keep the chill off between the ceremony/reception and leaving afterwards. I wore mine with long gloves as my dress had 3/4 sleeves

There was a grey one I liked in Next too if you dont want to wear all black (although at this point I think people are lucky you are turning up, let alone caring about what you wear!)
