How dangerous is contact with german measles?

Just been informed by a friend that her little boy has german measles, and that he was infectious last weekend when i spent time with them. Apparently he should be kept away from pregnant women. What should i do?

Find out from your midwife if you are immune. They should have done the blood tests at your first appointment. The vast majority of women are, either because of previous infection or immunisation at school.
